Happy New Year, 2026!
Does it really matter what year it is? Does it even matter what month it is? How about the week or day? Are we really going to change so drastically that we assume it must be the new year that is going to be changing us? There is some connection to the new year, although not physically but emotionally. And then, it dawns on us; nothing is changed..
One should reflect on the foundation of their thoughts, beliefs, inclinations, instincts, responses and reactions. Our sets of standard create in us a posture in the forum of life and toward others in general. While we have this posture, we are inclined to exhibit a foundation. But, as do plants, we grow and our inclinations, our character, our whole being; our foundations are revealed, widened, extended into cultural meaning and then becomes ingrained in the collective consciousness.
The fact that we may see differently, have our own perspectives, and interpret life with a different understanding only proves that our DNA, coupled with our environment, has influenced and therefore built us into who we are at our given present day. The fact that we exist in the environment in which we live not only establishes our depth, but deepens and perhaps somewhat changes our perspectives, depending upon how eventful the cultural experiences through which we live have penetrated our foundational character. It behooves every one of us to consider before we act, what our original foundation is in order to think prior to an event, to act courteously, kindly, lovingly, dutifully to our fellow persons, within that event.
There is so much in the Bible displayed in love, (of historical actions on how people were warned by God to act consciously) about which I did not understand. But I was a child then, as I grew in years experiences and maturity changed me and I progressed into a variation of the original person I was, but with some cultural ideology the which does not erase my foundation, only understand the variations insightfully.
That is to say, we are changing, evolving, but not physically; we hopefully are evolving into spiritual beings–whether for presence with God for eternity, or without God’s presence in a hell that will be saturated with destitution, defilements, desperation, and fear and loathing. That aforementioned edict is a kind of very dark nothingness that sounds a lot like the earth in which we live. But also the other end of the spectrum of life is lived here, which is the godly good and earthly heaven on earth. Life can be glorious, but it should be glorious for us all. How do we do that? First off, laws, rules, edicts, observances are a sensitive space in our psyches; we need to respect all of them at all times, for the good of all peoples. This is not simply a judicial plea, but a humane and spiritual plea for the comfort and love of all people and animals alike. Think on these things, discuss among your own communities and friends, and put aside your egos. Ego-less humans are the only ones that will see improvement in life around them, and the life of others. Put away that arrogance, forget about your own comforts, this is no longer the Wild West, we must stop being hypocrites, saving everyone everywhere, but allowing a host of impoverished and regressive philosophy under the guise of privilege and popularity of nation, to keep us from seeing the harm to others. It will certainly be our end if we do not change.
(2 Chronicles 7:14 )
